Rock giants Shinedown have released a new video for their latest single Planet Zero. The single is off the band’s seventh studio set to release April 22nd via Atlantic Records. Pre Order and Pre Save the new album HERE. Planet Zero is the band’s way to address “Cancel Culture”. In Planet Zero you will see an A.I Character named Cyren, who you will also hear in the album’s interludes as well as at the end of the video that warns us of the “Dangerous and dehumanizing consequences of cancel culture run rampant. Planet Zero bring to light the idea and question if Cancel Culture has moved passed holding people accountable for bad words and actions that deserve it, into people shutting down anyone that has a different perspective or opinion that they don’t agree with, which can cause us to lose a lot – empathy, our respect for one another, and our ability to communicate in a way that leads to actual progress and understanding.
Planet Zero marks the band’s 17th number 1 hit and sixth consecutive chart topping single. This sets a new record for the most number 1 hits in the history of the music charts.
Again, Planet Zero is scheduled to be released April 22 and Shinedown is set to hit the road with The Pretty Reckless starting April 1st. Get a full list of dates and cities below.
