Why Submit Your Band’s Music To Soundlink Magazine?
Soundlink Magazine has been covering the alternative music scene for over five years, running successful YouTube Channels, Podcasts, and consistently growing a fanbase throughout the US & Internationally. Our team consists of professional writers, web designers, digital marketers, photographers, and other musicians who have been in your shoes and know what it’s like to have a hard time growing.
As a publication, Soundlink Magazine aims to stand out from all of the other ezines and help build a community of growth and support for unheard artists, providing coverage for breaking news of bands of all sizes, and opening up discussions for opinions on controversial topics in the music scene. We’re not here to make money, we’re here to talk about the thing that we love above all things: music.
Most artists we talk to tell us they don’t know how to grow their marketing presence, or how to expand past their current local scene. We discussed internally what we could do to help not only our own local scene in the Southeast, but how we could help showcase all-star artists with less-than-all-star fanbases. We decided, with our all-star team, that you guys should be able share with us your mission and objective as an artist, show us your music, and then work with us to get yourself some extra attention.
Plus, you’ll be able to connect with our team of concert photographers, such as Joshua Lowe, Spartanburg SC Photographer Matthew Alexander, an Atlanta Photographer, and others. In the digital age, high-quality photography is important for any band or artist to make sure you’re viewed professionally.
Does It Cost My Band Money to Get an Article or Podcast Episode Up?
While we do have options for paid placements, this submission is totally free. If press is paid for, it’s not an open press anymore. Like we said before, this isn’t about money. This is about sharing your music with the world. We will have one of our digital marketing specialists work with you and discuss paid options for placement, but that won’t affect the status or likelihood of getting interviewed or promoted with us.
I Submitted My Band and Haven’t Heard Back From You. Should I Re-submit?
We’re a busy team, so it may take time for us to properly review your submission. We do not encourage you to re-submit yourself more than once every 6 months. If we don’t think that we can do a truly excellent article or interview with you, we won’t pick you. This doesn’t mean we think you’re a bad artist, or that we don’t like your music – we only want to make sure that we have really great articles that can be published. If you want to stand out on your submission, make sure you detail what makes you special, and make sure your EPK & Social Media presence is top notch.
