LOWBORN is an independent band based out of Greensboro, North Carolina. Today they released a brand new song “Bad For Me” that strays from the path of their usual sound, but doesn’t compromise the integrity of the band’s soundscape.

Billboard calls LOWBORN’s sound “…absolutely huge, and it also, in fact, touches on a wide swath of musical territory.

PC: Chelsea Clayton

While their former tracks take on more of a rock inspired-influence, “Bad For Me” contains haunting, heavy synth beats with striking vocals from Wes Lauterbach and inspiration rooted in the concept of “being afraid of change.”

Lauterbach goes into more detail about the track meaning: ‘Bad For Me’ is about being afraid of change, maybe because you’re more comfortable being stuck in a shitty situation or maybe you’re afraid of getting help. Maybe it’s easier to keep drinking and stay fucked up at parties, even though you know that lifestyle is bad for you. We want everyone to remember that it’s okay to be afraid of change and it’s okay to ask for help.”
