Ukrainian progressive metal giants Jinjer have released “Green Serpent,” the latest single from their forthcoming album Duél, set to debut on February 7, 2025, via Napalm Records. Known for their innovative blend of technical musicianship and emotional depth, Jinjer takes a heavier and more aggressive approach with this track, offering fans a taste of what’s to come in their fifth studio album.
“Green Serpent” features crushing breakdowns and showcases Tatiana Shmayluk’s commanding vocal dynamics, blending growls and clean vocals seamlessly. The song continues the band’s tradition of exploring intricate themes while pushing the boundaries of modern progressive metal. The accompanying music video adds to the intensity, reflecting the song’s themes with evocative visuals
This single follows other releases from Duél, including “Rogue” and “Kafka,” which together hint at an album that is both brutal and sophisticated. Bassist Eugene Abdukhanov has described Duél as their most ambitious project yet, representing two years of meticulous songwriting and production. The album also marks the first time Shmayluk worked on vocal pre-productions, further refining the band’s already polished sound.
Jinjer’s upcoming album promises to explore a diverse musical landscape, with tracks ranging from raw aggression to melodic brilliance. Fans can expect the band to continue redefining the boundaries of metal while remaining true to their unique sound
