Oregon’s pop punk trio known as Glacier Veins have just recently signed to a small yet exponentially growing record label known as Common Ground Records. In the past years their catalogue of musicians has been growing to incorporate bands from the East Coast, as well as overseas in the UK. This time they’ve signed another familiar name to many of us on the West Coast, Glacier Veins.

My first time seeing them live was barely a week ago here in my college town of Chico, CA. They definitely did not let anyone down with their performance; whether it was the spot-on harmonies provided by bassist Kyle, the powerful vocals by Malia, or consistently driving force of drums by Tyler, the band did not miss a beat. Now they’ll be able to put all of that to use as they get ready to release their first EP through Common Ground titled “Dreamspace” on October 6th. You can find pre-orders for that on Common Ground’s website, and the lyric video for the first song Headspace Campout down below!

In an article with Sick Snaps, their singer Malia had this to say about the new single:

“I wanted to convey a sense of floating and being up in the sky that relates to the optimism, hopefulness and patience within the lyrics. There are some references to space which I feel ties into the floating sensation, but also is a good introduction to the theme of the whole EP–being free and surrounded by possibilities.”

This ultimately gives a good sense to how Sick snaps calls them “Dream-Punk”. While it does stay tied to their pop punk roots, it’s much freer and more progressive than most pop punk tends to be. Give it a listen and go bump all of their stuff on Spotify, itunes, and other platforms.
