Canadian rock band Three Days Grace marked a significant moment in their history on November 22, 2024, with the release of their new single Mayday. This is their first release featuring the return of founding vocalist Adam Gontier, who now shares vocal duties with Matt Walst. The song was produced by Zakk Cervini and Dan Lancaster, with additional vocal production by Howard Benson.
Mayday reflects the band’s signature modern rock sound while addressing contemporary societal and emotional struggles. The lyrics explore themes of exhaustion, denial, and perseverance, mirroring the feeling of being on the brink in today’s world. The accompanying music video, directed by CiRCUS HEaD, adds a dynamic visual layer, with members of the band navigating a turbulent flight, symbolizing the chaos of the times.
Gontier’s return is a milestone, as he last worked with the band on their 2012 album Transit of Venus before leaving in 2013. The reunion, announced in October, has reignited excitement among fans, with the band hinting at more projects in the pipeline. Three Days Grace will join Disturbed on tour in 2025, for The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour, giving fans a chance to experience their renewed energy live.
