The Deathless Tour hosted by Set It Off makes its way to Charlotte, NC for its 3rd date of the tour. Opening for the headliner, we have the metalcore veterans, Crown The Empire from Dallas, Texas. I remember seeing them on every tour in my late teens and early twenties when they were extremely active. Since I last saw the band live, they came out with 2 more albums. Having said that Crown The Empire came on stage with their title track from their latest album “DOGMA”. They kept the energy high with crowd favorites like Zero, The Fallout, and Makeshift Chemistry as the waves of crowd surfers fought their way to sing along with frontman Andy Leo. Their set consisted of 9 standout tracks that kept the energy high to welcome the headliners. Check out their latest album “Dogma” if you haven’t kept up to date with the band.

The countdown began for the arrival of Tampa Florida’s pop-rock outfit “Set It Off”. The crowd cheered SET. IT. OFF. multiple times as the house lights flashed in sync with the chanting. The band took the stage and the sound of every young teen’s scream when they saw the beloved frontman Cody Carson take the stage. The band opened with “Parasite” which is supposed to be expected on a new album coming soon. The band was extremely energetic as Cody and his bandmates went side to side on the stage interacting with the crowd throughout their set. The band did a cool 10 tracks in 10 minute medley which was neat for longtime fans. In the middle of the set, Maxx (drums) and Cody switched positions for a song which was interesting to spice up the set. Overall, I didn’t know what to expect from the performance, but Set It Off really did, Set, It, Off in Charlotte, NC. Keep on the lookout for their newest album coming out soon.
