Lead vocalist Mirza Radonjica showcased his remarkable vocal range, effortlessly transitioning from soulful melodies to powerful screams, truly mesmerizing the crowd.Siamese’s setlist was thoughtfully curated, blending their signature alternative rock sound with elements of pop and metal. The band flawlessly performed crowd favorites like “Holy” and “The Shape Of Water” igniting the audience into a frenzy of headbanging and fist-pumping. From the moment they took the stage, it was evident that the night would be filled with raw talent, heartfelt emotions, and an experience that would linger in our memories. The band’s musical prowess was nothing short of extraordinary. Their seamless blend of alternative rock, ethereal electronic elements, and powerful vocals captivated the audience from the very first note. Each member showcased their exceptional skills, proving their commitment to their craft. Lead vocalist Tyler Levenson’s emotive and soul-stirring voice resonated with every lyric, evoking a wide range of emotions. It was impossible not to be moved by the raw passion and vulnerability they displayed on stage. The band’s stage presence was equally impressive. Their energy was infectious, and their interaction with the crowd fostered a sense of unity and shared experience. While the overall performance was exceptional, there were a few moments where the pacing felt slightly inconsistent. Some transitions between songs could have been smoother, but this minor flaw did little to detract from the overall impact of Afterlife’s performance. Afterlife’s performance at The Underground was a good experience overall. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to their music, Afterlife’s concert is an experience not to be missed.
Hollow Front from Grand Rapids, MI was next up. While I had heard some positive buzz about them, I left the concert feeling rather underwhelmed. Let’s start with the positives. The band members were clearly skilled musicians, displaying their technical proficiency on their respective instruments. The drummer provided a solid backbone to the music, keeping the rhythm tight and energetic throughout the set. Another issue was the lack of variation in their sound. While the band displayed technical skill, their songs began to blend together after a while. The lack of distinctiveness and memorable hooks left me wanting more from their performance. It would have been great to see them experiment with different dynamics and musical textures to keep the audience engaged. Furthermore, the vocals felt uninspired and generic. The lead singer’s voice had potential, but it often lacked the emotional depth needed to truly captivate the audience. The lyrics also failed to leave a lasting impact or evoke any strong emotions. The band seemed to rely heavily on tried-and-tested formulas, resulting in a forgettable experience. In conclusion, Hollow Front’s performance in Charlotte, NC was a mediocre affair. While the band showcased their technical skills and the sound quality was satisfactory, the lack of stage presence threw me off a little. Perhaps it was a one-off for the band, or perhaps they just aren’t for me. I will definitely give them another shot and listen to their latest album to see if I like it.

From the heart-pounding energy of “Earthbound” and “Lionheart” to the introspective intros of “Choke” and “Black Flame,” every song carried its weight, evoking a powerful response from the crowd. The band’s ability to seamlessly blend melody and brutality was on full display, leaving no doubt that they are true masters of their craft. As the night drew to a close, the crowd was left craving more. Bury Tomorrow did not perform an encore as it is not their style. They were here for business . Bury Tomorrow’s act on “The Seventh Sun” tour was a truly extraordinary experience. Their unrivaled musical talent, electrifying stage presence, and deep connection with the audience elevated the show to unprecedented heights. This British band has proven time and again that they are a force to be reckoned with in the metalcore scene, and their performance on this tour solidifies their place among the genre’s elite. As lead vocalist Dani stated, They now have their travel visas to the states and they are able to tour heavily in the near future. I hope to be back to witness them again without having to wait another 13 years !
