Man! What a special moment for festival goers of the Blue Ridge Rock Festival this past week in Danville VA. The London, Ontario Queen’s of METAL! Kittie returned to the stage! The all female powerhouse performed on the URW side stage and I have to say this was one of the tightest sets I’ve ever seen. You could tell these prepped for these handful of special shows for 2022. Musically everything was on point, Vocally Morgan was on point and the energy level was throw the roof. I’ll be the first to admit when I saw the announcement for Kittie, I was excited and scared all at the same time. Many times reunion shows are hit or miss, just look at a curtain stadium tour going on right now. However, Kittie WOW! They set the bar HIGH! You could tell these ladies got together at rehearsal and said “We’re prepping for a handful of shows, not a tour, not an album release. Let’s give it our all and give fans the shows they deserve.” and they did. Kittie performed an impressive 12 song set in the early evening time slot. Playing fan favorites spanning their entire catalog, even give fans a special treat performing 2 songs they’ve not performed since 2013 “What I Always Wanted” and “Never Again”. If You missed Kittie at Blue Ridge Rock Festival, don’t worry you have another chance to catch them later this year at “When We Were Young Festival” in Las Vegas, Nevada October 22,23 and 29, where the ladies will be performing all 3 dates.
