Charlotte North Carolina Melodic Hardcore outfit Hopesfall have released a new single “Hall Of The Sky“. Hopesfall had this to say about the new single:

The song is about the plight of an activist or a revolutionary – the danger of standing up against institutions that are bigger than they are, “

Alongside new music Hopesfall welcomes back former guitarist Ryan Parrish. Parrish was with the band from 1998-2002 and was apart of the writing process for The Frailty or Words and The Satellite Years. Ryan took to Instagram to make the following statement.

After 18 years apart, it’s been wild to jump back into writing and recording with @hopesfall. We figured “go big or go home” – so here’s a 9 minute riff and space odyssey for your listening pleasure.

A huge thank you to @brooklynvegan@equalvision@mikewatts_vudustudio, and our dear friend @drewtyndell of Computer Team for the beautiful video.

Lastly, a personal note. When @sirbrigham and I first started learning guitar, we’d steal our youth group PA system and go over to HF’s first bass player @rckincaid parent’s house. We’d setup in different rooms and make loud, delayed guitar swells for hours. They probably didn’t sound very good at the time, but we were chasing a feeling and that’s all that really mattered to us. It’s 20 years later, and we’re still chasing a feeling. The last 4 minutes of this song remind me of that time in our lives – getting lost in the sound inside your mind and forgetting about the world, if only for a few minutes.

Thanks to everyone who’s listened over the years – means the world. Link in bio.

Hall Of The Sky is a follow up to the band’s 2018 release Arbiter. Which was the band’s first album since 2007 and the band’s highest-charting album. Arbiter came in at number 1 on the US Heatseekers, Number 13 on the US Indie and 49 on the Billboard top 200
