Today at Soundlink Magazine we have the pleasure of bringing you an amazing premiere from From States Away. The band formed in 2015 and hail from New York. Their rabid local base grew to allow them a slot on the 2015 Vans Warped Tour. About the new song, Night & Day, Chris Lauletti, frontman for From States Away, had this to say about the song:
Night & Day is pretty much about all of the people that told us playing music wouldn’t last. It’s for everyone that said my dream of being a musician was dumb and a promise to myself never to let it fade away. Pretty much an anthem for my band and that we’ll never let this passion fade away.
Night & Day has a very melodic sound driving it with the hook getting stuck in your head. Don’t take From States Away as a typical pop-punk band though. They deliver some layers on this song once you dig deeper when listening. Chris Lauletti also has a forceful voice that allows the words to sit with you and make the lyrics come to life.
