Blue Ridge Rock Festival announced yesterday that 2 band’s have had to drop off the show. First, band is Like Moths To Flames, that have announced they will be dropping off the festival due to a pretty big tour opportunity. Second unfortunately is Fear Factory citing International travel complications. The replacements for both Like Moths To Flames and Fear Factory have yet to be announced, however they are working on it. Read the official statement from Blue Ridge Rock Festival below.

𝟱/𝟯𝟭 𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗨𝗣 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘- Like Moths To Flames has to cancel their set with us, due to a tremendous tour offer the band has received. We are stoked for them and both sides are working hard to ensure LMTF is with us in ’23!- Fear Factory has also cancelled their appearance at Blue Ridge this September, as there are international travel complications with a key band member that has forced them to be unable to deliver their first performance since 2016. We were informed of both of these cancellations very recently. Our talent buying team has been working extremely diligently to replace both of these acts ASAP so that we can finally announce the FULL Lineup for you. We do not want to deliver a poster with a ton of ????’s on it, but replacing acts is much harder for us than most, due to the honest reality that almost every available band is already confirmed for Blue Ridge this year – or just played last year. – In addition to the two above artist cancellations, we were thrown some even larger unexpected curveballs by way of a few bands who were on the verge of having to cancel Blue Ridge due to tour offers, cancelled tours, etc. HOWEVER, we are very pleased to share that we were able to work successfully with the respective teams to obtain creative solutions to keep them all on the bill! So, YES, even Gojira WILL still be performing at Blue Ridge and will now be making their only remaining U.S. performance this year with us in September!
𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙤𝙠 𝙛𝙚𝙬𝙚𝙧 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙚𝙧 + 𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙥 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙧? Great question. We had planned to book fewer bands this year. However, once we dug in with Virginia International Raceway at the beginning of this year, we realized we had the ability to deliver not only a fan driven viewing experience, but also to maximize the value we can provide each of you for your ticket. 𝙃𝙤𝙬? By delivering side-by-side stages. This will happen for our two main stages for the first time ever, however, this will also be essentially the case for our 3rd and 4th stages (about a 45 second walk instead of side-by-side to be precise). We could not say no to this configuration, as it heavily reduces set changes and provides the fan with the ultimate viewing experience – allowing you to comfortably experience an ample amount of performances each day. To make this a reality though…we needed to book a lot of the bands you voted for to fill the programming.
𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐒:- All tours taking place around September are all booked at this point, to our knowledge, so we do not anticipate anymore cancellations due to tour offers. – The upcoming full lineup announcement will include a breakdown of who is playing each day. In addition, it will include more than 10 new artist announcements, including several notable names.- Low Ticket Warnings: Head’s up! —> Only a few thousand 4-Day GA Passes (Price Level 4) and 3-Day GA Passes (Price Level 3) remain before they sell out and move to their next pricing tier. – Payment Plan Extensions: THIS Thursday at 11:59pm is the FINAL day to start a 3 Month Payment Plan for Blue Ridge 2022! Doing so gives you the maximum amount of time to pay off any purchase to Blue Ridge 2022, while ensuring you receive your wristbands in time. HOWEVER, we have worked successfully to launch additional, shorter Payment Plan options to provide you some financial flexibility once the initial June 2nd deadline passes. We hope to have the final slots booked in the next 48 hours, so that we can have the full lineup out by early next week. We will post the full lineup announce date and time a few days in advance so you have plenty of time to gear up! We know this is all not necessarily what you want to hear, but rather than a canned answer, we wanted to provide you all with real transparency to what is going on behind the scenes on the talent side. Thank you all for your incredible patience with us. We cannot wait to unveil this all to you in just a few days 🤘
